Dounea primarily focuses her practice on matrimonial and family law. She believes that no two cases are the same and is dedicated to finding creative solutions tailored to each client’s unique circumstances. A zealous advocate both in and out of the courtroom, Dounea represents clients in a variety of matters including contested and complex divorces, custody, child support, orders of protection, prenuptial and postnuptial agreements and post-judgment matters.

Prior to joining GHSK, Dounea worked as an Associate at a general practice firm in Westchester where she gained experience in various other practice areas including estate planning and administration, real estate, and commercial litigation.
 
Dounea graduated from the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University where she served as a student advocate with the Pace Women’s Justice Center, a member of the Pace Law Advocacy Program Honor Board and as Co-President of the Family Law Society. She continues to support the Pace Law Advocacy Program as a trial team coach.
