After witnessing the recent violence and protests, which serve as a stark reminder of the racial injustice and systemic inequality present in our country, our managing partner, David Sahargun, decided that now would be an appropriate time to reaffirm some of Grant Herrmann’s core values.
Now, more than ever, Grant Herrmann believes in:
- Maintaining a culture that embraces diversity and inclusion;
- Ensuring a safe and respectful work environment for all;
- Accepting and tolerating different viewpoints;
- Adhering to the highest ethical standards;
- Acting with integrity; and
- Serving the best interests of our clients and our community.
“The recent events remind us that it is not enough to simply reaffirm these values for the Firm,” David said in a recent email addressed to the firm. “We think it is our responsibility as a corporate citizen to promote these values more broadly in the communities in which we live and work.”
To this end, the Firm’s leadership team has decided to constitute Grant Herrmann's first-ever Corporate and Social Responsibility Committee. This committee will identify ways in which our firm can use its diverse set of skills and talents to assist the underserved and disadvantaged in local communities, including those suffering from injustice and inequality.
This committee will be chaired by the Firm’s Director of Compliance, Amy Klein.
We challenge other law firms and businesses, both large and small, to stand with us by taking concrete steps to serve our communities and stand up for justice and equality for all.
